SupraNet celebrates twenty years in business

On September 1st, 2014, SupraNet Communications, Inc. celebrated its 20th anniversary of delivering fast, direct and reliable Internet services to businesses in Wisconsin. In 1994 SupraNet aspired to set a standard of excellence as a service provider, and to become a well respected and engaged corporate citizen.

20 years later SupraNet remains responsive to the needs of more than 500 clients, provides relevant and scalable services, and has established a reputation for social responsibility and community involvement. “We are honored to be such an integral part of the Madison community,” said Bryan Chan, SupraNet’s President and Founder.

Following the 2012 acquisition of Mad City Broadband, SupraNet provided small and medium sized businesses with more cost-effective and reliable high-speed wireless and fiber optic Internet solutions. Through the acquisition, SupraNet increased its service area and diversified its scope of services, all while continuing to offer the strong customer service that their clients have come to count on.

In 2014, SupraNet began offering complimentary Wi-Fi to passengers at the Dane County Regional Airport in partnership with Nordic Consulting, allowing for substantial infrastructure improvements.

SupraNet continues to co-organize the High Tech Happy Hour, a popular monthly networking event along with Yahara Software, and serves as the technology sponsor for both WTN Media’s Fusion 2014 CEO-CIO Symposium and the 2014 Digital Healthcare Conference.

The Forward Festival, co-founded by Chan, celebrated its fifth anniversary in August with 20 events over seven days which were focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. Having established deep community roots, SupraNet continues to give back to the community through involvement in Dane Buy Local, Downtown Madison Rotary, Accelerate Madison, DMI, the Overture Center, and many local Chambers of Commerce.
