16 Nov Tips on pitching a business plan part of Global Entrepreneurship Week
As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, Paul Jones will give insight into preparing and pitching a business plan to investors and lenders at the next WIN meeting on Tuesday, November 17. Paul will discuss the fundamentals of writing a business plan and how one must prepare to pitch their plan to investors and lenders. He will share personal insights drawn from his experiences as an entrepreneur and investor. He will illustrate some of the challenges, opportunities and pitfalls of preparing to pitch to investors.
For one week beginning November 16, 2009, Global Entrepreneurship Week will connect young people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.
As the entrepreneur-in-residence at the UW-Oshkosh College of Business and counsel at Michael Best & Friedrich LLp, Paul has tremendous experience as an entrepreneur, angel and institutional venture capital investor. He also has an extensive track record of creating and acquiring businesses and defining and implementing business plans in diverse technology-driven industries. Throughout his career, Jones has played leadership roles in securing more than $150 million of private and public capital for various firms and also co-founded a venture capital management firm.
The meeting will be held at D J Bordini Center, 5 Systems Drive, near the Fox Valley Technical College campus in Appleton.
Registration and networking begin at 4:45 p.m. and the program should start around 5:15 on Tuesday, November, 17, 2009.
