Out-of-state firms win elevator contest

Three very young companies – all from outside Wisconsin – won the Elevator Pitch Olympics in Madison on Wednesday.
All three said they would consider moving to the state, said Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council, which organized the contest.
It capped off the Wisconsin Technology Council’s two-day Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium, which drew about 500 attendees to the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. The event gets its name from the idea that every entrepreneur should be able to tell the highlights of his or her story in the time it takes to ride an elevator – about 90 seconds.
