28 Aug Facebook moves to improve privacy and transparency

Facebook announced on Thursday that it planned to change the site to give users more privacy and control over their personal information. But the biggest changes may be for the 1 million software developers who create Facebook applications.
The changes are in response to an investigation by Canada’s privacy commission, which found that Facebook gave “confusing or incomplete” privacy information to subscribers and gave developers “virtually unrestricted access to Facebook users’ personal information.”
