MILWAUKEE — Merge Healthcare announced that it has expanded its distribution agreement with Eklin Medical Systems to sell its medical imaging software to the veterinary market. Since 2002, the companies have worked to distribute Merge’s eFilm Workstation, which was customized to the intricacies of imaging animals of all sizes.
In addition to selling to universities, private practices, aquariums and zoos, Merge and Eklin have partnered to provide a digital repository for radiographic reviews at Keeneland, the largest Thoroughbred auction facility in the world.
According to Merge Healthcare CEO Justin Dearborn, conversion to digital is starting internationally. This expanded agreement will provide both companies “continued leadership in veterinary imaging.”
Headquartered in Milwaukee, Merge Healthcare offers products to radiology practices, outpatient imaging centers, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and device manufacturers.
