08 Apr Scripps Health now live with GE Centricity
CHICAGO – Scripps Health, a hospital system in San Diego, has gone live with the newest version of GE Healthcare’s Centricity Enterprise, GE announced. The integrated clinical, financial and administrative product offers computerized physician order entry, clinical decision support and expert rules, and documents all aspects of patient care.
In implementing the latest release of Centricity Enterprise last month, Scripps is positioned to take advantage of future federal stimulus incentives.
“This implementation represents a significant effort to standardize clinical workflows across facilities on all five of our campuses,” according to Patric Thomas, Scripps chief information officer. “Standardizing helps us to provide continuity of care for our patients and continuity of experience for our clinicians at any of our Scripps hospitals.”
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, GE Healthcare is a $15 billion unit of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE). Worldwide, GE Healthcare employs more than 46,000 people, and has operations in Madison with 6,900 workers in the state as of September 2008.
