27 Jan MyWeather names Christopher Kelly as company president
Madison, Wis. – MyWeather, a Madison-based developer of digital, location-based weather and traffic content, has appointed Madison native Christopher Kelly as company president.
The appointment was made by MyWeather’s Board of Directors.
Kelly has been with MyWeather since its founding in 2000, and has been part of the company’s global expansion. In his new post, he will lead MyWeather’s new direct-to-consumer initiatives, including the recent release of MyWeather Mobile for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
Kelly is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, and holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Terry Kelly, chairman and CEO of MyWeather, said Kelly would tighten the company’s focus on global location-based weather services, including its new B2C mobile and web initiatives and its provision of weather information to media and consumers.
The company, which has about 50 employees, provides personalized weather and traffic content, including weather alerts and forecasts.
