16 Apr MyWeather, La Crosse Technology partner on personal weather device
Madison, Wis. – The Madison-based MyWeather, a personalized weather forecasting service, will team with La Crosse Technology to develop what they bill as the world’s first Internet-powered personal weather device.
The device, which will be called WEATHER DIRECT, will be marketed as the first personal weather forecasting system to use the Internet.
La Crosse Technology will develop the device, while MyWeather will deliver personal weather forecasting data to it.
WEATHER DIRECT will replace a “thundering” alarm clock with a pleasant voice that wakes the user with a customized, daily forecast and news relevant to his or her lifestyle. Consumers will be able to access weather information from a list of 40,000 cities from their home and four other locations of interest, which can be updated.
