Robotics competition set for March 13-15

Milwaukee, Wis. – The U.S. Cellular Arena will be home to dueling robots March 13-15 as Wisconsin high schools students demonstrate their commitment to engineering.
The FIRST Robotics competition, developed by Dean Kamen, inventor of the Segway Human Transporter, is a nationwide competition designed to stimulate interest in careers in technology and engineering among American high school students.
Fifty-four area high school teams will compete in regional robotics competition. Each high school team was given a kit of parts, a common set of rules, and only six weeks to build a working robot that will be guided through an obstacle course-style competition designed by Kamen and other professionals.
