18 Feb GenTel Biosciences hires VP of commercial operations
Madison, Wis. – Citing his depth of knowledge of important business markets, Gentel Biosciences, a protein chip maker, has announced the hiring of industry veteran G. Randall Durnell as its new vice president of commercial operations.
Durnell brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate and business development for major life science companies. He has worked as an executive for several industry leaders, including Beckman Coulter, Aurora Biosciences, now part of Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and Pierce Biotechnology, now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
His professional activities include the acquisition of PanVera while working in a corporate development role, and his implementation of a strategic plan for Aurora that helped the company earn a Top 10 spot on Bloomberg’s “Hot 100 List.”
Alex D. Vodenlich, president and CEO of GenTel, said Durnell’s contacts will help the company build strategic business interactions. “These relationships are collaborations which carry significantly larger revenues than we’ve been able to realize to date,” he said in a statement. “I am confident that he is the right person to help take us to the next level of performance and profitability.”
