Milwaukee, Wis. – Health Payment Systems, a Milwaukee-based medical bill-paying service, has announced that it has signed a contract with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare to reduce administrative costs, according to a report in the Milwaukee Small Business Times.
The brand promise of Health Payment Systems is to accelerate payments to providers while reducing healthcare costs for self-insured employers and their employees.
The company, which began in 2006, caters to employer groups and self-insured health plans of 50 or more employees. Its main service is to pay the employer and employee portions of a billed healthcare service in a single payment within 20 days. The accelerated payment is made in exchange for discounts to HPS clients.
