New Manpower blog focused on world of work

Milwaukee, Wis. – Manpower, the global employment services firm, has established a new blog to explore issues connected with the contemporary workplace.
The blog, Contemporary Working, will be written by Melanie Holmes, vice president of world of work solutions for Manpower. Holmes earned a MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management at the age of 55.
Contemporary Working will attempt to guide employers and employees through the modern workplace. The blog will serve as an open forum to facilitate an exchange of ideas on tips, tools, and topics such as the aging workforce, the looming talent crunch, working women, professional etiquette, and work-life balance.
“We know there are concerns about the big issues like the 43 percent of the population that could pack up their bags for retirement in the next decade,” Holmes said in a press release. “But people are also looking for quick answers to personal questions, such as how to dress for a second interview or politely decline a business dinner invitation.”
