31 Aug Automated Notification Systems wins Eau Claire business contest
Eau Claire, Wis. – Automated Notification Systems, a technology company that is developing an electronic scanning product, has been named the winner in the emerging growth category in the 2007 Creating Your Own Business contest held by Eau Claire Area Economic Development Corp.
The company’s ESAN (electronic scan and notify) product electronically scans the inside of a box or other storage receptacle for its contents, and through the use of a notification e-mail, cell phone text message, or via website access, it notifies customers of the presence or absence of items in a container.
Automated Notification Systems plans to integrate ESAN into security and Homeland Security markets for the monitoring of storage lockers, school lockers, and equipment and inventory management systems. The product has been approved for trial testing in Pak Mail stores in Chicago, Northern Indiana, and Wisconsin.
As a contest winner, ANS will receive a $10,000 cash award, discounted or in-kind business services, and is eligible to receive a $25,000 low-interest loan. The company will be honored at a Sept. 27 awards luncheon at the Ramada Convention Center in Eau Claire.
