22 Jun Douglas Stewart reaches distribution pact with digital video firm
Madison, Wis. – The Douglas Stewart Co. has entered into a distribution agreement to offer to its network of education resellers the products of Honestech, Inc., an Austin, Texas supplier of digital video and Internet Protocol (IP) communication and entertainment products.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Douglas Stewart sells computer products, consumer electronics, and school supplies to a market of 4,500 academic resellers in the United States and Canada. Honestech, a subsidiary of Honest Technology Co. Ltd., will use the agreement to bring its products to classrooms and learning centers.
Honestech’s products include a CD/DVD that supports Windows Vista, a video product that enables surveillance monitoring with PCs or web cams, and a video-editing system.
The Madison-based Douglas Stewart Co., founded in 1950, is a privately held, woman-owned business run by CEO Cheryl Rosen Weston.
