18 Jun Northwestern Mutual, American Family make Computerworld's best IT workplaces
Milwaukee and Madison, Wis. – Northwestern Mutual Financial Network of Milwaukee and American Family Insurance of Madison have made Computerworld’s ranking of “Best Places to Work for in IT.”
Northwestern Mutual ranked 25th among the top 100 IT workplaces, while American Family was number 66 on the list.
Leading the annual ranking was Quicken Loans, followed by the University of Miami (Fla.), Sharp Healthcare (San Diego), The Capital Group Cos. (Los Angeles), and the Mitre Corp. (McLean, Va.) in the Top 5.
CDW Corp., the parent of Madison’s Berbee Information Networks, occupied the 58th spot.
The list is compiled from a 100-question survey which polls organizations on categories such as average salary and bonus increases, percentage of IT staffers promoted, IT staff turnover rates, training and development programs, and the percentages of women and minorities in IT staff and management positions.
