16 Mar Kettner to leave WARF, join Virent Energy Systems
Madison, Wis. – David M. Kettner, who has served as in-house counsel for the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, will leave that post after March 30 to become chief intellectual property counsel for Virent Energy Systems.
Kettner, who has emphasized biotech patent prosecution and intellectual property licensing, will continue to work at WARF one or two days per week for a period of time after March 30. At WARF, Kettner drafted license agreements and performed intellectual property portfolio analysis and infringement analysis.
At Virent Energy Systems, he will join a Madison-based company that is developing carbon-neutral renewable energy products.
Kettner has a law degree and bachelor of science degrees in genetics and cellular biology, all from the University of Minnesota.
