Musicnotes reports 45 percent growth in 2006

Madison, Wis. -The online music market continues to surge as Musicnotes, Inc., a Madison company that provides downloadable sheet music, has announced that its sales increased 45 percent in 2006 to more than $5.5 million.
The company, which posted its first full year operating profit in 2006, said it sold sold almost 850,000 downloads in 2006 and added 250,000 new customers.
It also has started strong in 2007. Year-to-date sales are up nearly 50 percent with over 125,000 downloads sold through mid-February, and more could be on the way.
Musicnotes, which publishes an online catalog of nearly 60,000 digital sheet music titles, expects to announce licensing agreements with several additional music publishers in 2007.
