Potawatomis complete acquisition of tech firm

Milwaukee, Wis. – The Potawatomi Business Development Corp. has purchased the remaining interest in the northern Wisconsin information technology firm OneProspect Technologies, and plans to open a OneProspect office in Milwaukee.
OneProspect, which had been a business division of the Potawatomi Business Development Corp., is now completely owned by the Forest County Potawatomi Community. In January of 2006, the corporation had purchased a 49 percent share in the company, which has existing offices in Crandon and Rhinelander.
OneProspect provides network infrastructure and Internet protocol communications services, and has customers throughout the United States.
It is the third information technology businesses the Potawatomis have invested in during the past year. In July of 2006, Brendan Technologies of Carlsbad, Calif., received $1 million in funding from the Potawatomi Business Development Corp. to develop a new analytical software product for use in pharmaceutical and laboratory settings.
Last month, the Potawatomis acquired the Oklahoma City-based Advancia Corp., which provides information services and other products to clients in the defense, aviation, and homeland security industries.
