NE Wisconsin to hold business plan contest

Green Bay, Wis. – Valuable business advice and $25,000 in cash prizes will be at stake as two Wisconsin economic development organizations hold the 2007 Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan Contest.
The competition is open to any start-up business, or existing businesses that are changing direction, in northeastern Wisconsin. In addition to cash prizes, including the $10,000 first place reward, entrepreneurs will receive advice about crafting their business plans.
Entries are due by Jan. 5, 2007.
The competition is being coordinated by the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Economic Partnership and the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter of the Wisconsin Innovation Network.
Cash prizes, which can be used for seed money, also include $6,000 for second place, $4,000 for third place, $3,000 for fourth place, and $2,000 for fifth place.
