23 Jun Musicnotes strikes deal to distribute Sony/ATV sheet music
Madison, Wis. – Guitarists and other musicians will find a greater selection of their favorite sheet music in the Capital City, thanks to a deal struck by a local online store.
Madison-based Musicnotes Inc., an Internet-based sheet music store, reached an agreement Friday to distribute the Sony/ATV Music Publishing catalog in digital sheet music form.
Musicnotes now will be able to offer its customers a wider range of sheet music options, including songs from the Beatles, Sarah McLachlan, Richie Sambora, and Fall Out Boy, among others.
The agreement also means that Musicnotes will offer guitarists a wider selection of interactive lessons for Sony/ATV’s songs in Musicnotes’ Guitar Guru Sessions format.
“These songs represent some of the best-known and adored works of all-time, and we are extremely excited to work with Sony/ATV in allowing musicians to learn to play these works,” said Kathleen Marsh, chief executive officer of Musicnotes.
Musicnotes already offers more than 45,000 pieces of digital sheet music from a variety of publishers.
