TeachingBooks corrals AEP achievement award

Madison, Wis. – A Wisconsin-based portal to educational information about books and authors has received a Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers.
The association, which has recognized achievement in supplemental educational resources for nearly three decades, honored TeachingBooks.net in the Best Educational Website category titled “Portal for Young Adults and Children.” TeachingBooks.net is a provider of multimedia resources that stimulates enthusiasm for reading by, among other things, offering children the opportunity to interact with their favorite book authors and illustrators.
“The idea is to bring books to life for children by helping them develop personal relationships with books and their creators,” said Nick Glass, founder of TeachingBooks.net.
Since its 2003 launch, TeachingBooks.net has been licensed by more than 12,000 schools across the United States and Canada, including all schools in Wisconsin and large metropolitan school districts like Boston and Dallas.
