15 May Fiserv's Banklink chosen by Union Bank of California
Brookfield, Wis. – Banklink, a unit of Fiserv, Inc., and Union Bank of California have agreed to deliver the Web-based iLINK Remote Deposit product to the bank’s commercial banking customers.
The iLINK Remote Deposit module, which will be used for remote corporate capture and deposit services, allows commercial banking customers to scan and electronically submit all of their deposits directly from their offices, eliminating trips to the branch and improving their cash flow.
Union Bank of California will brand this solution as Remote Image Deposit and deliver it to commercial customers in conjunction with its existing online suite of commercial cash management services. Michael Grazer, vice president of UBOC, anticipates a rapid adoption.
UBOC’s bank holding company, UnionBanCal Corp., had assets of $48.8 billion as of March 31, 2006.
Banklink, located in New York City, offers the iLINK platform for information reporting, data exchange, multibank reporting, and pay and transaction initiation services.
Headquartered in Brookfield, Fiserv, a Fortune 500 company, provides information management systems and services to the financial and health benefits industries.
The company, which reported more than $4 billion in total revenue for 2005, will provide a live broadcast and replay of its 2006 annual shareholders meeting over the Internet. The Web cast will begin at 10 a.m. Central Time on May 24. Those wishing to listen to the discussion are asked to log on 10 minutes before the Web cast begins. The live Web cast and archived replay can be accessed on the Fiserv Web site at www.fiserv.com under “Upcoming Events.”
