Platypus granted new liquid crystal patent

Madison, Wis. — Platypus Technologies said it has been granted a new patent on its technology for using liquid crystals to track the movement, proliferation and death of cells. Platypus is a nanotechnology company with 21 employees that is developing tests and monitoring systems for multiple biological systems.
