09 Mar Waukesha software, data supplier Big Hammer acquired
Milwaukee, Wis. — Big Hammer LLC, a software company in Waukesha that sells home improvement software such as do-it-yourself garage, deck and interior design programs, said on Thursday it has been acquired by a Tennessee company.
Edgenet Inc. in Brentwood announced it would expand its offerings to manufacturers and retailers by taking advantage of Big Hammer’s large database of suppliers, products, and product pictures. Big Hammer operates one of 11 authorized databases in the U.S. that participates in the Global Data Synchronization Network for manufacturer and retailer data.
Its data pool includes 3,500 retailers and 300,000 products.
Edgenet is also acquiring a computer-aided design software packages called Cad Quest, which is used to design decks, fences and outdoor buildings.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
