Milwaukee investor gives $10M to business school

Milwaukee — Sheldon B. Lubar, who is the founder of Milwaukee investment company Lubar & Co. and has close ties to the University of Wisconsin, is giving $10 million to the business school.
The endowment is the largest the university has received and will fund business professorships, scholarships, and a discretionary fund. Lubar also said he would help the university raise another $10 million from the business community, and try to persuade the state government and UW System to reallocate $10 million to the business school. Lubar is a former president of the UW System Board of Regents.
It’s all part of UWM’s push to raise $300 million and expand its research and teaching capabilities.
