18 Jan Wisconsin Angel Network established member base in 2005
The Wisconsin Angel Network recruited many of Wisconsin’s prominent investment groups in 2005, its first year. WAN is a membership organization that provides an online database of entrepreneurs and educational resources for businesses and investors.
Twelve organizations joined the network, representing more than 200 angel investors, said its year-end report released this week. A full list of members is available on the WAN web site.
Initiatives included:
• Full-day investor seminars
• Workshops on tax-credits for early-stage companies
• Since June, voluntary reporting of funding by companies’ lead attorneys
This week, the group published additional resources including a how-to for businesses making investor presentations, developed with the input of angel investors.
