StrandVision to put digital signage in local dental office

Eau Claire, Wis. — StrandVision, which makes digital displays for lobbies and waiting rooms, said Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire has signed on to place a 42-inch plasma TV in its local dental office.
The screen will display information on local weather, news, office hours, treatments, and dental products and services, all beamed from StrandVision’s servers. Group Health staff will manage the displays through a web site.
Clinic manager Bobbi Potter said in a statement that the sign would “encourage and promote clinical dialogue between our patients and staff.”
Under its previous name, Online Kiosks, the company was a finalist in the 2005 Wisconsin Governor’s Business-Plan Contest. In addition to displaying business information to clients, StrandVision offers help making advertising agreements with local and national companies.
