InvestMidWest calls for business presentations

St. Louis, Mo. – InvestMidwest Venture Capital Forum has issued an open call for companies interested in presenting their business plans before venture capitalists, corporate and private investors, and investment bankers at their upcoming gathering April 5-6.
Dec. 16 is the early application deadline, and Jan. 13 is the final application deadline to be considered for participation in the forum, which will be held at A.G. Edwards national headquarters in St. Louis.
Selection of presenting companies is based on a company’s value proposition, management team, products or services, marketing strategy, market opportunity and financial summary. The firms that are selected will receive presentation guidelines and guidance to ensure the presenters meet the forum’s professional presentation standards. The event will feature two presentation tracks, a life science track and a technology/general business track.
InvestMidwest says that since its first forum six years ago, it has helped generate more than $250 million in equity investments for presenting companies, and that nearly half of the 30 presenters from the 2005 event have raised funding totaling more than $50 million since participating in the forum.
