GE Healthcare Software installed at clinic in Washington

Waukesha, Wis. — GE Healthcare announced today that Rockwood Clinic, a group practice spread among 22 care facilities in the Spokane, Washington area, has purchased a suite of their Centricity Physician Office products.
One of the new technologies the clinic is installing is GE’s Patient Portal, which will allow patients to schedule appointments, update their patient profile and make co-payments electronically. The patient can take an active role in uploading and downloading health information, allowing them to be involved in their own medical care. In addition, with electronic prescription refills, medications can be monitored and sent to participating pharmacies for convenient patient pick-up.
Rockwood Clinic serves families throughout the Inland Northwest—a geographic area with a population of 1.5 million—and provides care to more than 120,000 patients annually. More than 150 providers and 600 staff members work in the main clinic and 22 satellite facilities, representing more than twenty-six separate specialty areas.
