07 Oct M & I's Metavante completes Brasfield Corp. acquisition
Brown Deer, Wis. — Metavante Corp., the financial technology subsidiary of Milwaukee-based Marshall & Ilsley Corp, has completed its acquisition of Birmingham, Ala.-based Brasfield Corp. The company will become a Metavante subsidiary and continue to operate under the Brasfield name.
Brasfield provides core banking processing and customer service to community banks which license and use Bankway software from Kirchman Corp., a Metavante company. Brasfield also provides check and document imaging and check exchange services to over 100 community banks in the Southeast.
Metavante Corp. delivers banking and payment technologies to financial services firms and businesses worldwide. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Metavante is wholly owned by Marshall & Ilsley Corp.
