I.B.I.S., Inc. of Norcoss, Ga., will offer the Microsoft Education Services of Madison-based Inacom Information Systems in the metro Atlanta area, the two companies announced Tuesday. The I.B.I.S., Inc. / Inacom Education partnership offers a variety of public classes from end user applications to technical courses, including Windows Server, .NET Programming, Exchange.
Saint Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point and Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston, part of the Ministry Health Care network, each have acquired the “z.one” ultrasound platform from ZONARE Medical Systems. The hospitals are the first in Wisconsin to offer the system, which is based on new Zone Sonography technology. The z.one ultrasound platform allows the clinician to instantly remove the scan engine and image a patient at the bedside.
The Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), a chain of 33 imaging centers with locations in Minnesota, Florida, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Washington, has purchased Cedara PET/CT software from Merge eMed, a Merge Healthcare company, for use in its imaging centers, Merge Healthcare announced on Wednesday. CDI has been a Merge eMed RIS/PACS customer since 2003. Merge Healthcare, based in West Allis, Wis., makes medical imaging and information management software and services.
AT&T has won a $5.3 million contract to provide an integrated networking solution for Advanced Data-Comm Inc., an outsourced teleservices company that serves Ashland and Superior, Wis., and part of Iowa. The three-year agreement for a full range of voice, data and Internet services extends and expands AT&T’s long-standing relationship with the company. Advanced Data-Comm operates four customer service centers in the Midwest and manages more than million customer interactions per month.
WellPoint, Inc., which does business in Wisconsin as Blue Cross and Blue Shield, announced on Wednesday that WellPoint members can now access a new expanded portfolio of consumer decision support tools. Consumers now have access to greater information on cost and quality, critical components when evaluating a consumer-driven health product or when making a medical decision. The service is through a partnership with Subimo, LLC, of Chicago. WellPoint members will now have access to the Hospital Advisor, Spanish Hospital Advisor, PharmaAdvisor, Treatment Cost Advisor, and the Coverage Advisor.
