12 Sep Frantz Group brings Web conferencing in-house
Grafton, Wis. – The Frantz Group, a direct marketing firm, has brought Web conferencing services in-house with a product from Milwaukee-based Brevient Technologies, Inc. after using a hosted version for the past 15 months.
Brevient installed an appliance server at The Frantz Group headquarters in June. The installation coincides with Brevient’s release of Connect 8.3. Brevient Connect 8.3 users can now record Web conferences directly to their desktops in a video format, recording in color or black and white
Concordia deploys Radware
Mequon, Wis. — Concordia University of Wisconsin has deployed Radware’s application-smart switching system to support continuous performance of the campus’ mission-critical applications, the company announced Monday.
The reseller Galaxy Data deployed the system consisting of Radware WSD and LinkProof devices located at critical points in the university’s infrastructure. Concordia University also uses Radware’s SynAPS embedded Intrusion Prevention software, available on all Radware application switches, to add an extra layer of security by protecting the perimeter of the network from port blocking before it reaches the firewall.
Easker launches on Demand for AppExchange
Madison, Wis. — Esker Software has launched Esker on Demand for AppExchange at Dreamforce ’05, the salesforce.com annual user and developer conference in San Francisco. An on-line document delivery service that is among the first applications to be available via Salesforce.com’s AppExchange, Esker On Demand enables Salesforce.com’s customers to send communications directly from Salesforce via physical mail, fax, email or SMS, without volume restrictions or delays.
Bruker announces Smart Breeze
Madison, Wis. — Bruker AXS Inc. has launched Smart Breeeze, a compact X-ray crystallography system that features Bruker AXS’ latest addition to its X-ray detectors, the air-cooled Smart Breeze 4K CCD detector, as well as a compact goniometer and X-ray generator. The Smart Breeze system features new AutoStructure software for fully automatic 3D structure determination of organic and coordination molecules from X-ray data.
UWM center partners with RouteMatch
MILWAUKEE — The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Center for Transportation Education and Development today announced it has formed a strategic partnership with RouteMatch Software, Inc., a provider of transportation management software and solutions. Under terms of the alliance, RouteMatch and UWM’s CTED will develop a curriculum to be used to educate and train employees, partners, prospects and customers on various topics related to the transit industry and the use of technology in transit.
