Perez joins TomoTherapy board

Madison, Wis. — Dr. Carlos Perez has been appointed to the board of directors of TomoTherapy Inc. in Madison. Perez is a former president of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation and has more than 40 years of experience in radiation oncology.
Perez is professor emeritus in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Siteman Cancer Center, Washington University Medical Center.
Including Perez, TomoTherapy now has 10 directors on its board, seven of whom are independent of company management. TomoTherapy has developed a medical system to deliver conformal radiation therapy to cancer patients. The TomoTherapy technology was born out of collaboration with the University of Wisconsin. It has 250 employees.
