Cooper Lighting picks RedPrairie solutions

RedPrairie Corp., a Waukesha-based supply chain technology provider, reported Friday that its solutions are enabling Cooper Lighting, a George-based division of Cooper Industries, to optimize its distribution operations and workforce productivity.
The lighting manufacturer is replacing its nine-year-old technology with RedPrairie’s DLx Warehouse, slotting and workforce performance management applications.
RedPrairie’s slotting application will provide improved picking and putaway efficiencies by optimally positioning the fastest moving products to reduce travel times, the company reported.
Cooper Lighting ships $3 million in products a day. The company will simultaneously implement all three RedPrairie solutions at its Peachtree, Ga., headquarters in October, followed by two additional sites in Southaven, Mass., and Ontario in January and April of next year respectively.
