13 Jun Milwaukee health provider network pilots software plan
Milwaukee — A large managed medical provider network based in Milwaukee is piloting clinical software in several local clinics.
Independent Physicians Network, Inc. (IPN), one of the largest managed medical provider networks in the U.S. with over 1,000 member physicians, and MedcomSoft Inc. announced today a pilot project and the basis on which IPN members outside of the pilot project can acquire MedcomSoft Record.
The pilot project involves the implementation of MedcomSoft Record, an office automation solution written for Windows, in several clinics by Clinical Transformation Management – also in Milwaukee – expected to be completed by the fall of 2005.
MedcomSoft’s Clinical Data Repository is designed for data mining based on clinical data entries such as symptoms, medical history, examinations, test results, conditions, therapies and outcomes. MedcomSoft believes that MCDR will enable healthcare organizations to track outcomes, disease evolution and population health leading to better prevention, disease management and surveillance.
