21 Dec Imago provides atomic probe to Australian lab

The Nanostructural Analysis Network Organisation, a major Australian facility for nanotechnology research, said it has commissioned an instrument built by Madison-based Imago Scientific Instruments Corp.
NANO officials said they were pleased with the installation, which Australian and international researchers can use at the University of Sydney.
Imago makes tools to analyse materials down to the atomic scale using technology includig three-dimensional atom probes, which take apart small samples atom by atom to collect data about the composition. Imago says its technology can deliver results in hours.
NANO is funded by the Australian Commonwealth Government, several state governments and industry. It is one of 15 Major National Research Facilities in the country.
