Inacom CEO in top 25 executives, CRN says
CRN magazine ranked Laurie Benson, CEO of Madison-based Inacom, in its list of the top 25 executives in 2004. The magazine looked for influential leaders of large and small businesses in technology business. Benson ranked among executives from IBM, Cisco, Intel, Sun and other well-known companies.
PKWare’s chief scientist to present at Infosecurity Conference
Milwaukee — PKWare‘s chief scientist, Jim Peterson, will speak at the 2004 Infosecurity Conference on December 9 in New York on the subject of maintaining information security with partners, customers and suppliers. PKWare maintains the Zip standard for archiving, compressing and encrypting files, created by its founder.
Firstlogic updates mail presorting software
La Crosse, Wis. — Firstlogic, Inc., said the latest version of its presorting software for periodical mailing, such as newsletters or magazines, can make sure the mail is properly assigned using the U.S. Postal Service’s Zone Analysis Program. The program helps mailers figure out how much postage is required for each piece of mail. Companies who use Firstlogic’s approved software do not need to manually write a summary of mailings for review by the Postal Service, the company said.
Teklynx announces support for more Printronix RFID printers
Milwaukee — Software company Teklynx International has added to its software driver support for the SmartLine SL5204e and SL5304e RFID label printers and the SLPA7000e label applicator, from Irvine, California-headquartered Printronix Inc.
