MILWAUKEE — IT Fusion SOS (Small Office Solutions), a new, Milwaukee-based company, began providing managed service programs for its initial client group this month. The program the company offers, announced Tuesday, is based around an outsourced network management solution set, affording the end-user a single point-of-contact for their LAN, WAN, voice, data back-up, e-mail and Web site-hosting needs. This turnkey solution is designed for small-scale organizations with four to 40 employees or desktops.
“Spending time managing ever-more complex computer equipment and networks is not the reason most people got into business in the first place,” said Managing Director Nate Erb. “Even if the organization can afford to have a dedicated `tech guy’ on staff, that individual may not have the best skill sets to match to what is needed by the organization to effectively manage, maintain and upgrade the IT environment. And then we would ask the question `Is this person really a good return on investment for you ‘—our answer would most often be `No.’”
According to Director of Program Management Larry Prine, the premise of the program is based up on the fact most small-scale organizations do not require a full-time IT manager or staff. However, all businesses need secure, robust and cost-effective IT solutions.
“We provide to the client a seasoned, free-agent CIO who works with a client’s management team to stabilize and standardize their information network. This individual also plans ahead for the organization’s future needs. All for an affordable monthly contract price, which can be as little as $295.00,” Prine said.
