16 Jul Northwest Wis. Manufacturing Outreach Center honored by DOC, NIST

MENOMONIE, Wis. – The Northwest Wisconsin Manufacturing Outreach Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stout was recently honored by the United States Department of Commerce and the National Institute for Standards and Technology in their 10th year review-panel presentation for several distinctions.
The center was ranked number one, with over 450 centers and branches of Manufacturing Extensionship Partnership in the nation, for survey response rate. This relates to client returns of third party (NIST) survey returns and results after one year of project implementation.
NWMOC ranked in the top five in the nation in customer satisfaction scores and was commended for its united effort with the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership to obtain continued state funding for small- to medium-sized Wisconsin manufacturers.
NWMOC was also lauded for managing the partnership of technical colleges throughout the state. The panel recognized NSMOC for creating a beneficial partnership structure to serve the state’s manufactures. NWMOC technical college partners include: Chippewa Valley, Western Wisconsin, Wisconsin Indianhead, Nicolet Area and Northcentral.
NWMOC is a direct partnership between UW Stout and five technical colleges: Chippewa Valley, Western Wisconsin, Wisconsin Indianhead, Nicolet Area and Northcentral with the goal of delivering an integrated manufacturing modernization service to small- and medium-sized manufacturers in Northwest Wisconsin.
