12 Jul Quick response manufacturing and biotech
MADISON – Biotechnology companies interested in achieving greater efficiencies in product development and manufacturing processes are invited to an introductory briefing by the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Center for Quick Response Manufacturing.
The “Introduction to Quick Response in Biotech” briefing, co-hosted by the center and the Office of Corporate Relations at UW-Madison, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at the MG&E Innovation Center in University Research Park. The Wisconsin Technology Council, the Wisconsin Biotechnology and Medical Device Association and the Wisconsin Technology Network are co-sponsors.
The briefing will outline how strategies proven to be successful in diverse manufacturing environments can help biotechnology companies and those related to the life sciences to reduce costs and lead times while improving quality, according to Frank Rath, associate director of the Center for Quick Response Manufacturing.
Biotech companies that are in the process of developing a product or a manufacturing process, as well as companies that are already involved in manufacturing, will benefit from the briefing, according to Allen Dines, assistant director of OCR.
