07 Jul Inacom Information Systems achieves Cisco Systems Partner -Gold Certified status
MADISON – Inacom Information Systems announced last week it has achieved Cisco Systems Partner – Gold Certified status. This certification represents the highest level of partnership and, according to Cisco, verifies a company has gained expertise in three specializations in addition to achieving a measurable level of customer satisfaction.
Inacom is specialized in IP Telephony, VPN Security and wireless LAN.
According to Inacom President Frank Albi, the new certification is something the company worked hard to achieve.
“We’ve worked very hard for it – it’s an important requirement inside the Cisco community. It brings a certain amount of established credibility, by becoming gold. It’s something we’ve strived hard to accomplish and we’re grateful to all our clients,” Albi said.
Inacom is also certified as an EMC Service-Enabled Velocity Partner, IBM Premier Partner, HP Gold Partner and is a Microsoft Gold Partner in three different competencies: learning solutions, e-business solutions and security solutions.
Attaining Cisco’s gold certification may do more than satisfy current customers – it may influence potential patrons. According to Kelly Thomas, Inacom Marketing Manager, the elevated status could make the company more attractive to prospective customers.
“Sometimes customers will only look for partners who are gold [certified],” Thomas said. “Our customers are really educated on the solutions that are out there and they understand what partners can provide. Sometimes they’ll just start searching with only gold partners. It helps them make their choice.”
Inacom’s customers provide a testament to the company’s proficiency in Cisco technology.
“Over the last six years, Inacom has helped [the UW Medical Foundation] design two extensive WAN rollouts as well as network core and datacenter infrastructure upgrades,” said Gary Olson, technical services manager of UW Medical Foundation, in a statement. “Inacom’s engineers have a great understanding of Cisco’s product lines and take the time to show us how they best fit in our environment. They’ve also been very helpful in keeping our SMARTnet contracts manageable and up-to-date.”
The gold certification must be renewed annually.
Inacom Information Systems is a Madison-based information technology consulting and training firm that now serves Madison, Milwaukee, Fox Valley and La Crosse.
