17 Mar Wisconsin health plan offers online health management system
Menasha, Wis. — Network Health Plan, Affinity Health System’s health plan provider in northeastern Wisconsin, and HealthTrio announced today the availability of new online services for NHP’s providers, members, employers and brokers through HealthTrio connect, an Internet-based health management system.
NHP will launch the product suite in two phases, beginning with provider and member portals. Starting this summer, NHP’s providers will be able to exchange, modify and execute claims, referral and eligibility transactions through the online interface. Members will use the Internet-based system for self-service administrative functions, such as looking up benefit and claim information.
In the second phase, NHP will launch HealthTrio connect’s employer and broker portals. Employers that insure their employees and dependents through NHP will be able to offer customizable health risk assessments that will provide NHP with a picture of overall member-population health.
HealthTrio connect will be used by brokers to input employer and census information, reconcile commissions and receive quotes online, as well as access personalized benefit information. All transactions conducted through HealthTrio connect are HIPAA-compliant and secure, thus assuring complete privacy and confidentiality.
“HealthTrio connect provides the platform needed to support the complex e-health services we believe are the future of managed care,” said Will Weider, chief information officer, Affinity Health System. “We believe offering these tools to our customers furthers our mission of improving the health of the community we serve.”
HealthTrio is a provider of e-health applications and core business systems for the managed care industry.
