04 Feb API’s New Name Reflects Company’s Current Direction
HARTFORD, Wis.–API Software, Inc., formerly known as Automating Peripherals, Inc., announced today the official name change of the company. API Software, Inc. is a provider of time and attendance, staffing/scheduling, payroll, human resources, productivity management, education tracking and access control software for healthcare organizations.
“After 20 years of evolving our products while serving the healthcare industry as Automating Peripherals, Inc., we decided we needed to update the company name to better describe what we do,” said Luis Garcia, API president and CEO.
“We are a software company, so our name had to reflect that. Although we continue to offer peripheral devices, such as our badge readers for our time and attendance system and our Employee Information Station (EIS), the majority of the benefits that our customers realize are a result of our software solutions. Besides the name change, API is still the same company healthcare organizations across the country have been successfully partnering with for two decades — we have the same ownership, the same management and the same corporate development philosophy,” said Garcia.
