Sonic Foundry Builds Momentum

Madison, Wis. — Sonic Foundry, Inc. announced Friday that its flagship product Mediasite Live has received a Kayye Consulting rAVe Best of 2003 Award. The Madison-based company provides media communications technology and has recently added new customers that include NEC Electronics and Sony Pictures Digital. The company recently established new reseller partner relationships with Creston, and Extron Electronics to provide marketing and training services.
Kayye Consulting’s rAVe Best of 2003 Awards honor impressive and innovative new products that will have a profound effect on the professional AV industry as determined by judges from system integrators and design consultants. Gary Kayye, CTS of Kayye Consulting, anticipates Mediasite Live will continue to build on its already strong market acceptance.
“Mediasite Live clearly has caught the attention of AV professionals, and it is quickly distinguishing itself as the defining product in the metamorphic Web and video conferencing market,” said Kayye. “Looking ahead there is no doubt that Sonic Foundry will have an impact in steering the pro AV ship toward integrating online presentation systems rather than simply presentation rooms.”
Mediasite Live provides audiovisual and information technology infrastructure investments and provides a platform for capturing and sharing media content. Each Mediasite Live system contains all the hardware and software needed to automate the capture, encoding, synchronization and delivery of multimedia presentations for Web-based distance education, corporate communications, training and related applications.
