17 Nov EraGen Expands in Japan
MADISON, WI. – EraGen Biosciences, a Wisconsin-based life science company that designs, develops and commercializes products and technologies that accelerate the drug discovery process, advance molecular diagnostics and functional proteomics announced today that it has selected ITOCHU Corporation and CTC Laboratory Systems to exclusively distribute its integrated phylogenomics product, Master Catalog, in Japan.
“Methods for in-silico protein prediction continue to be of significant interest to our life science customers”, said Taizo Watanabe, President of CTC Laboratory Systems. “As we expand our capabilities and services in the life sciences, specific to in-silico protein prediction, we are pleased to be working with EraGen. We are certain Master Catalog and EraGen expert services will deliver the high quality that CTCLS is recognized for in Japan.”
Master Catalog is a unique, proprietary informatics solution to the problems of interpretive proteomics. The platform consists of a patented software system that predicts protein function based on unique evolutionary analyses. “Master Catalog can significantly shorten the cycle time for identifying potential drug targets and selecting animal models which, in turn, can greatly improve the probability that the ability to cure a disease in an animal model will translate to humans,” said Irene Hruvosky, MD President and CEO of EraGen Biosciences.
