ADC and Network365 Team to Offer New End-to-End Mobile Payment System

Companies to Jointly Offer “Always on,” Secure Solution For Mobile and Content Service Providers
ADC (Nasdaq:ADCT; www.adc.com ) and Network365 announced today a joint initiative to co-market an end-to-end mobile payment solution that helps generate additional revenue for mobile operators. The ADC/Network365 solution enables “always on,” secure and trusted m-commerce transactions between operators, banks and service providers which then allows subscribers to use an expanded range of payment options. This broader selection of personalized payment choices offers consumers simplified and secure mobile transactions, designed to increase broader acceptance and create new revenue opportunities for operators.
“Operators typically put subscribers in prepaid or postpaid buckets, but that’s not the way people purchase goods and services,” said Jason Briggs, program manager with the Billing and Payment Applications practice at the Yankee Group. “Forcing a customer into a specific payment mode is not service-centric and limits an operator’s access to consumers’ disposable spending sources. The ADC/Network365 payment management solution solves this issue by incorporating an any-pay model into a real-time mobile-commerce architecture. It’s an intuitive and comprehensive approach to mobile transaction management.”
The ADC/Network365 solution integrates ADC’s Singl.eView(TM) dynamic transaction platform and Network365’s mzone(TM) product suite. It provides the mobile operator with encrypted and stored data on a subscriber’s credit cards, debit cards, bank accounts and other purchasing information for payment across various usage criteria, such as service type, volume, content and day part. Operators will then be able to offer the option of letting subscribers pay for goods and services and posting these charges to their mobile telephone bill. Subscribers can make payments using any variety of accounts and customized payment options, shipping addresses and other information. The solution can be used for both consumer and enterprise applications.
“This joint solution delivers a link in building and executing profitable mobile content strategies through a secure, convenient, and ubiquitous platform that meets subscribers interactive payment needs,” said Pat McCarthy, senior business consultant with ADC’s Software Systems Business Unit. “The solution ensures that the balance of trust is maintained across all parts of the value chain from the customer to the merchant, service provider or bank. The broader selection of anywhere, anytime payment options gives operators new revenue opportunities through the acceleration of their premium content plans and resulting increases in network usage.”
“This significant development with ADC provides a further major endorsement of the real functionality, value and quality of our mobile commerce solutions,” said John Hurley, vice president of marketing for Network365. “Linking with a world-class billing company such as ADC forms a key element of our international development strategy and will further underpin the growth and development of our business on a global scale.”
