GE Healthcare awarded two 10-year DoD contracts

Company awarded two contract positions for broad patient monitoring and life support medical devices

MADISON - GE Healthcare announced that it has been awarded two 10-year contracts (one year, with nine separate option years) by the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP). Combined, these two contracts are valued at a maximum of $63,000,000 annually.

The contracts include products for comprehensive patient monitoring solutions, including acute patient monitoring, networking, telemetry systems, vital signs monitoring. DSCP customers can now select from GE Healthcare’s integrated suite of patient monitoring devices, communications networks and IT systems designed to transform patient monitoring data into clinical intelligence enabling clinicians to make critical healthcare decisions faster and more efficiently.

In addition, these two contracts enable Federal agencies to select complementary GE Healthcare products including: diagnostic cardiology devices and MUSE® cardiology information archival systems; catheterization laboratory monitoring; Datex-Ohmeda anesthesia delivery, infant incubators and warmers; and fetal monitoring, perinatal information systems, and blood pressure cuffs.

The contracts can be utilized for purchasing GE medical equipment by the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Veterans Administration, and US Federal Government agencies worldwide. Each of these contracts has been under negotiations since April 2007, and are the first two Patient Monitoring vendor contracts to be awarded by the DSCP.G
