BEST BioDiesel gets permits for 8M gallon plant

Cashton, Wis. - BEST BioDiesel, LLC has received construction and operating permits from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for an eight million gallon fuel production facility in Cashton.

The facility will be called BEST BioDiesel Cashton and be a wholly owned subsidiary of BEST BioDiesel, a Madison-based fuel technology company.

To be located on a six-acre site in the Cashton Green Energy Park, the facility will be completed in April 2007. Prior to the commissioning of the plant in July, BEST BioDiesel will install a pretreatment system that can process a variety of feedstock in the production of biodiesel fuel.

The primary raw material, however, will be soybean and other triglyceride-based oil.
