Tushaus Computer buys Apple computer vendor

Milwaukee, Wis. - Tushaus Computer Services, which operates in the personal computer space, has purchased Third Millennium Design, Inc., a provider of Apple products and services.

The combined organization will not only merge PCs and Macs, but also intellectual property and technology to serve small and large business customers and educational organizations. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The company said it will continue operating from its suburban Milwaukee and Oshkosh offices while adding a downtown Milwaukee presence by keeping Third Millennium's N. Third Street office. Tushaus also said it would retain “key personnel” from Third Millennium for the Tushaus Apple team.

Adding the capacity to service Apple products opens a significant market to Tushaus. Apple shipped 1.6 million Macintosh computers during the last quarter of fiscal 2006, representing a 30 percent growth in sales over the same quarter in 2005.

"We are now squarely focused on quickly seizing the attractive opportunities this transaction has created for us to increase growth as well as achieving cost synergies in general and administrative expenses," CEO Gregg Tushaus said in a release.
