GE Healthcare, MobileAccess to collaborate on hospital wireless

Milwaukee, Wis. — GE Healthcare and MobileAccess announced an exclusive worldwide agreement to help hospitals deploy their wireless services on a common infrastructure, called GE Enterprise Access.

MobileAccess Networks, headquartered in Vienna, Virginia, makes in-building wireless network systems that support multiple voice and data services and applications. The company’s solutions have been deployed in more than 1,000 businesses including hospitals, enterprises, public venues and other large-scale facilities.

At the core of the GE Enterprise Access solution, the MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network will provide wireless coverage in healthcare facilities and deliver a range of wireless technologies, including cellular, Wi-Fi, paging, and public safety radio over a common infrastructure.
